Some call it “taking it easy”, here we call it "xino xano". Or go at full speed if that’s what you prefer. You choose!
Bird watching
For nature lovers
Its strategic location, nestled between Europe and Africa, right in the middle of one of the world’s main migratory routes, makes the island an important place for bird life in Europe: more than 200 species of birds pass over our island, which is why a significant part of the island is included within the Natura 2000 Network. Among the privileged places for birdwatching, the islets of Es Freus and Formentera’s only wetland area, located near to the port of La Savina, stand out. Cory’s shearwater, Audouin's gull, Kentish plover, Stork or Common shelduck are some of the birds you will have the pleasure of spotting during your holiday.
